Is Friday the 13th Bad News?
My brother-in-law, who passed, stayed home every Friday the 13th for five decades. He had paraskevidekatriaphobia: now, there’s a great noun for your next word game!
My brother-in-law never explained why he had the fear. I would tell him, “In numerology, 13 is a good number.” He would reply, “I am not leaving the house.” End of conversation.
The genesis of the Friday the 13th superstition seems to have started in the Middle Ages. It is a complicated superstition centering on the 13 people at the last supper of Jesus of Nazareth.
Conversely, Masons believe that 13 is a great number on any day! When the U.S. became a new nation, our forefathers, many of them Masons, were buoyed by their faith that 13 states signified good fortune.
Let’s have fun this Friday the 13th!
I’ll be helping out George Noory at “Psychic Vibes Night”, which is open to the public, and only $22 for a ticket, on Friday night the 13th of September in Scottsdale, AZ.
And, Soul Summit Scottsdale is on Sept. 12-15, 2019.
I hope you have your tickets!
